Были и вездеходы на архимедовом винте. Правда дальше не пошли почемуто. Мю ремонт такого винта штука затратная.

Они при некоторых условиях вбок едут, причём неуправляемо.
Зато проходимость просто дикая! И по воде как по земле, потому что на винтах.
