@cheetawolf all it is is wheedwhacker string that spins... can.e chop ur hand off.. they flex.. most it would do is cut u

@couvidan it has exposed blades, you could easily stick your hand in there and get it all chopped up.

@vidid99 It's non-polluting if you get your power from a nuclear power plant. Coal power plant -- not so much. It just pollutes at a different location.

I've used one of these for years and I'm happy with it. It shreds leaves wet or dry and easily handles large maple leaves (not pre-shredded). A bungee cord around the base holds a large garbage bag in place to catch the mulch. I like this shredder because it's lightweight, easy to clean and it's non-polluting.

I have a lot of leaves to mulch and am considering buying this Flowtron. Do you still like it? I'm also looking at the Workx or possibly one of those blower/vacuums that go over the shoulder. I would love your update. Thanks.

it may be unsafe but for people that dont know its not throwing a steel blde it is actually just a whippr sniper like cord spinning at high speed so its not really dangerous but if it were to hit your hand it would prob do some damage

@cheetawolf Wish it were more unsafe - it would chop leaves better. It's really too safe.

Looks like you're putting leaves already shredded in the shredder!

You're right - they were already chopped by the lawnmower before the shredder arrived. The shredder chopped finer for some pretty good mulch.
