THE IRONY OF THIS IS JUST SICKENING!

I was playing Pokemon Blue version while listening to a Stratovarius playlist (hey it's a good game, and this is a freakin fantastic band) and half way through the song I realised that I just recieved the HM, Fly, was teaching it to Pidgeot, and was flying for this first time on my save file.
