I have been listening to Nusrat since 1994 and love his way and style of singing (irrespective of what some purists say). Yaman Kalyan, the raag in which this is rendered, is a really beautiful raag amd the words and the music are really uplifting - takes you into a trance indeed. Doesn't matter what faith you belong to - listen and transcend.

I am if anything a Buddhist..I adore Nusrat listening to him makes the hairs on my arms stand up...and tears form in my eyes..
Sadly he died on my birthday...So I always play his music then to remember him even more. Voice from the heavens.
