Congressman Martin Heinrich (NM-1) addresses attendees at the National Latino Coalition on Climate Change (NLCCC) Regional Latino Leadership Briefing on Climate Change. The briefing took place at the University of New Mexico Continuing Education Conference Center in Albuquerque, NM and brought together elected officials, and prominent leaders in the non-profit, labor and environmental community to raise awareness about the need to educate the Latinos about the challenges and opportunities that climate change and global warming represent for our social, political and economic future.

This event was co-hosted by HELP-New Mexico.

Panelists included: Dr. Eileen Gauna (UNM School of Law), Rafael Aguilera (The Verde Group), Michael Casaus (Sierra Club), Laura Sanchez (NRDC), Nate Gorence (National Commission on Energy Policy), and Simon Lopez (NCLR)
