@ZemogTorrents Must have been one hell of a film-reel...

@RagnarXII more money than what? what's your reference here?
-
@ZemogTorrents landing on the moon was pretty advanced too :D

@SepradistPhantom Yes sorry, I think I meant compared to straight digital film is better. I imagine modern film is of superb quality. Therefore I think we agree.

@edj66 While film is clearly a better medium than digital sensors, i have to disagree with the idea that old films are better than new ones. Yes, they can have a character that is impossible to match. But in terms of clarity, resolution, reciprocity - modern films from Kodak and Fuji wipe the floor with them.

This is the same guy that narrated "The Powers of Ten" (I think)
-
Wow, this is impressive. How do you get your hands on these things?

I miss when i'd see Nasa in the news.
This was 1969, its 2011, WHY ARE WE NOT SPENDING MORE MONEY ON THE SPACE PROGRAM!?!?

@ZemogTorrents It's just a 16mm slow motion film camera that manages to run the film through it at 500 frames per second. Since there's 40 frames per foot on normal 16mm film, that means that at 500 FPS, 12.5 feet of film is going through the camera every second. That's incredible.
