@fsleadguitarist its because he is using a flip video witch is HD (i think)

IDK how it is with movie maker, but in Final Cut Pro it is a setting you have to set to capture in HD, I'm sure it is in Movie Maker somewhere

yea i know, ive got the insignia hd camcorder, but im having to use a trial of sony vegas to put my vids in hd, since movie maker wont do it.

I didn't know there were different versions, it just came on the laptop I got a few months ago. And for HD, you must have a camera that shoots in HD, then select it under "more settings" when your publishing a movie.
