bibs reading (and brief science in the video description)

bella wanted to show you guys how good she is reading now and im mad proud of her

shes a phonetic reader but her vocabulary is so massively clutch that she can usually decipher a phonetically retarded word by sounding it out

i was a sight reader growing up and just memorized what words looked like which is technically wrong but different strokes for different folks, so teaching her to read phonetically, i have realized what a shitty and confusing language english is and i feel sorry for anyone trying to learn our language

i think dave chappelle said it best when he was talking about his son making a macaroni necklace and it blew his mind because his child started out as a little swimmer in his nutsack and now he is making macaroni necklaces and shit what a bad motherfucker

to watch a child develop and grow a personality and get all of these crazy superhero abilities like reading and cooking ramen noodles and force-sensitive telekinesis is the most serious mindfuck of all, and to anyone who isnt a parent, these intangibles are something that just have to be experienced

so basically have lots of kids and smoke weed every day

Awesome. Re comments, hell yes English is a major pain in the ass. My almost 2-yr-old is learning loads of words and connecting them now and it's made me more aware of that than ever before; LOL just now he was talking about the "truck yuck" from yesterday (he had spit a too-big bite out into his toy truck instead of the carpet, which we took away and washed... just gave back).

Damn, I was kind of an ass. Looking back, at least he didn't put it on the carpet, right?
