My recollection is that Stuart and McKay did 2 albums. The first had Hey Billy and the second Full Speed Stop as the singles. I caught them twice in Townsville. The first time was as a support act to Ross Ryan. The second time was when they appeared at a local night club for an extended period.

Around 1977 Ken McKay came to Melbourne and worked at Brashes music store musical instruments department, for about a year. The band was already finished by then, but Ken was still doing Tamworth and writing. He had an great gift of writing and playing... any one know where he is?

Saw Stuart and McKay at the Sydney Town hall, around 73 or 74, when they supported Steeleye span. I had one album. I would like to hear some more of them too. I dont know what became of the album.

I was in Perth, december 1973 and remember this song very well. No wonder it went to 20 in Perth. it was on high rotation on the radio.
