Video of a short flight with my Multiplex Easy Star at Churchill Landing, Manomet Bluffs, Plymouth, MA. When I cut the motor you can hear the surf even at 500 feet! There's not much room to land so I had to grab the plane in the air when I brought it in.
I use a 2408-21 brushless outrunner with an APC 5x7E prop and a three cell 2200mAh LiPo battery. The motor is mounted about 3/4 inch higher than stock so the bigger prop will fit. Flying weight is about 25oz, thrust is 22oz, and it can climb at almost 60 degrees. Speed is high enough that tight WOT loops will fold the wings. Flight time can be over an hour with a little throttle management. Sweet setup for very little money!
