@acagle2828 errrrrrr back up. what?????????????? did I REALLY just read "but they are spoiled and treated with alot of respect and kindness" please do more research before you start talking. I appreciate your comment but you need to educate yourself more on this subject so you are not fooled into thinking every animal is treated nicely. Infact more then 80% are mistreated.

I think this is a great thing to show everybody. Most people that live in the city don't even think about their meat being a living breathing thing. We owe it to the animals we eat to educate the public. We raise and slaughter our own cattle. But they are spoiled and treated with alot of respect and kindness. At least their last days are filled with calm and comfort.

@MQ1611 Hitler was not a vegetarian, he had stomach problems, but there is plenty of documentation showing his favorites foods were meat. But he did have a mustache, which must mean that all people who have mustaches are genocidal, right? Being kind to animals and people are not mutually exclusive. They are intrinsically tied, and you are blind for not seeing that. Why limit compassion? PS - we need "the environment" to survive. Animal agriculture is destroying it. Get with the program.

This is why people are starving in India. Hitler was a vegetarian. These people have what the Bible calls "inordinate affection" (Colossians 3:5), an affinity for beasts above humans. These simple minded do-gooders are genocidal, they would wipe out billions of human beings in 5 seconds if they thought it would "save the environment".

In one reply you say " I got your point." Yet then immediately follow up by asking what my point IS and if I even have one.
...Did your brain just divide by zero or something?
Anyway, let me add to my argument that veganism is pretentious fraud and folly. Human beings can live, long term, on a diet 100% exclusively of meat. Inuits do so, as fresh fruits and vegetables are scarce on the arctic tundra.
Yet a human being cannot survive on a vegan diet without dietary supplements.

I became vegan only 4 months ago and seriously, it's the best thing I did for not only myself but for the planet; the animals! I plan on being vegan forever! This story is beautiful!

@KingAdrock420 Which adds exactly zero to the discussion as is simply deflection, nothing else
-
@KingAdrock420 I called you out for being condescending because you have nothing to back it up with. I seriously consider my steward of the planet and, though certainly not perfect in all of my actions and choice, I consciously make every effort to be true to my values. You - in this discussion anyway, I certainly don't know and can't judge your whole existance - have done nothing but hurl that same old lame vacuous arguement that vegans are hypocritical becuase they eat grains plants or grains.
-
@KingAdrock420 What is your point? Do you even have one? You certainly are making no valid point in any discussion of animal welfare etc. What hypocrisy am I guilty of? I was being condescending, intentionally so. I FEEL condescending towards you, no hypocrisy there. And to be clear I wasn't calling your condescension hypocritical, rather your stance and your 'arguement'. I was calling you condscending which I found funny as you have nothing to base it on....
-
@Racquelle40 "Condescending." Indeed Pot, I believe you are quite correct about my color. But suppose you as well "shouldn't be pointing any fingers"? Especially whilst discussing hypocrisy?

If we didn't eat meat that cow wouldn't have had a life to begin with. The vegan effort is antithetical to life. Thus we should all eat meat to support the life of these animals.

This argument is ridiculous.
A life spent in confinement, being torn from your mother, tortured, and ultimately slaughtered and eaten is not much of a life.
Following this logic, we could eat human babies too, because after all, at least they'd be alive. And we could breed slaves, because, well - at least they'd have a life. See how silly that sounds?

The alternatives these cows have is go extinct or live a shortened existence.
Humans are bred into "slavery:" we must work for food, clothes, etc. In other words, our enjoyment of life is limited to a natural state beyond our control. The question is at what point is it no longer worth being born. Two-four years of life is definitely better than no years of life.

Don't compare your life to that of a slave or a factory farm animal, it is an insult to those individuals. You are sitting around justifying the indefensible because you like the taste. Just admit it, because you will not win this argument.
Raising animals for food is cruel, it's the single largest cause of greenhouse gas emissions, and it's not even necessary for most of us to survive. These are facts.
I challenge you to watch the Joaquin Phoenix documentary "Earthlings". Just google it.
