  • There are plenty of these that got smashed up..Why destroy a drop top? Also I think its a unibody. They flex if not carefull ..Best of luck and keep us posted

  • @stoughton1 The people I bought the car off of didn't have any appreciation for it. I'm working on restoring it back to its original condition. Ive always liked the TR7 and the TR8's. If I didn't come around and buy this one, it would of been sent to a scrap yard.

  • i got a tr7 and my dad had a ford 4.3 v8, it revved a little to high at low speeds to be economical, so were gonna put a chevy 4.3 v6 in it. i hope it works better, now we will have an overdrive

  • @porknbeans2013 Sounds like a plan dude! Good luck with the project, I've been doing some work on my TR7 I finally got it stripped completely out, redoing the entire car. I was thinking about doing the Chevrolet 4.3 swap with mine too. The stock Triumph running gear in mine is toast, I got a cracked block.

  • @silverpsyco3356 Someone should take it off you,...quickly

  • @rebelpride2011 Cool..please keep us posted

  • @rebelpride2011 when my dad was telling me about the triumph engine it never seemed to really scream anything but under powered, but the Chevy 4.3 says a lot about itself just by how much it has been used. The engine already has a auto overdrive on it so that will help with top speed, along with the pinto rear end he put in it to get a 2.73 ring gear, I'm thinking about getting an early mustang front suspension in it and add 1" in height to the rims and 2-3" in height and width to the tires

  • Where do you put in the oil? I have a 1980 Triumph TR7 as well and I'm trying to fix it up.

  • gotte a tr7 myself no the probs good luck whit it
