Great cover, I rather think they could have used another guitarist to go with david's vocals better. Especially the chorus D,A,G,D D,A,C,G the full chords might have sounded way better :(

@r3n3gade420 Hey- chill - yes, Collective Soul created this song. Personally the orginal doesn't do much for me; I'd never heard it until I found out what Cook was going to sing for the finale. I really wondered how he was going to play it, but it turned out he put his own stamp on it. I just liked his version better than I liked the original. Sorry if that bums you.

@montiac712 better than the original my fucking ass, the original is an entire band coming together harmonizing instruments and melodies...and besides the original gave him a leg to stand on that led to a breakthrough career, he has Collective Soul to thank for creating this song

I never tire of watching/hearing DC sing this. Soooo much better than the original. And that falsetto at the end... his "head voice" is amazing.

There's just something in his voice, the timbre, i think, that just digs into the heart, like a drumbeat you can't forget once you've heard it thumping. It's really that undertone. If i were a guy, i'd really envy that voice.
