gee...now i know why you didn't leave your camera running when itunes was going through the entire restore process. you probably didn't want everyone to know it gave you errors, and took you forever to try to figure out how to restore it to the custom firmware. that was a real cheap way of showing people how to restore to the custom firmware you stupid shit. next time, do it right so everyone can see that there will be an error message when you restore.

what is the otion key by the way???
I jailbroke my new iPhone 3G and it seems to have really weak reception and I can't even get 3G signal even though I used to be able to with the regular software. But iTunes never told me to install any sort of carrier update. Did that just pop up for you?

Plug your iPhone into iTunes and under the 'devices' tab click on your iPhone and hit restore it will restore your iPhone and download the latest 2.0 firmware so once thats download pwnage should detect it!

it says: itunes could not connect to the iphone because an unknown error ocurred (0xE8000001)
and because the information for activation could not be obtained from iphone..
and check that the sim card is not pin locked

Hmm try and restore following the same steps as i posted to 'firegodct' and if you have a first generation iPhone make sure 'activate' is checked. This guide its for 3G only. :)
