So basically 500$ a cord cut and split , very expensive compared to canada i bought a cord of birch for 200$ cut,split, and delivered but im guessing you cant just get a permit there garry to cut your own? Per cord a permit is 15$ here we are lucky for sure. I deffinatly would like that oak looks perfect to burn.

@Karlos77777777 you can get a permit to collect dead wood in certain parts of the forrest but to cut the trees you have to own them, unlike the giant forrests you have in canada here everything is owned by someone.I would say 400 dollars for seasoned hardwood sounds about right.
