Impossible Creatures is an amazing game, a truly unique concept and also a fair few years old - just think what a sequel could be like with today's technology

This is the message I received, definitely worth checking the link out if you guys are interested in the game:

"Pyrotoz,

I'm not too sure how much you know about IC at this current moment, but allow me the time to tell you a little about it:-

At the moment, IC is virtually dead, Relic and Microsoft have totally abandoned all support they had for the game, and what little dedicated fanbase it has is dying. Currently, the forums have 383 registered users, and I have no doubt that at least 200 of these are either dupe accounts or bots.
There are probably about 20 remaining players in IC, I am one of which. We still have methods of playing online, regardless of Microsoft closing the online servers, a few months ago an old user hacked the Microsoft interface and hosted the online on his own servers, but he had to shut them down for maintenence and we have had limited contact since. Another member has attempted it aswell and is in the progress of decompiling the programs used to talk to online servers and progress is being made. We also have user-made mods to balance the game and make it more fun, these are being updated regularly due to the intricate nature of IC's balance and such a small community base meaning mods are easily distributed.

As it stands however, IC is on it's last legs.

So I've come to you, a fellow gamer, to help save a game.
You have a massive subscriber base and potentially could save IC for another few years. I'm sure you and I both agree its a fantastic game, and many more will think so too if they are exposed to it.

What I ask of you is that you put out a few videos - however many you feel is necessary - with a link to the forums in a last ditch attempt to save a dying game.

We have IC available for free download on the forums (however illegal it may or may not be these days) if you wish to mention that in the video.

Here is a link to the forums, which of course I invite you to check out and register yourself:

Please, post this link in some IC videos. Please.

Regards, Will."

  • not every ranged creature have a splash attack. for example the porcupine

  • One of the only RTS's i ever played where i enjoyed the whole campaign and wanted to see it through.. starcraft, warcraft, and this.. Almost everything else was for skirmish only.

  • this game is to date the greatest game i've ever played.

  • 2:52 - A word of advice to new players, please dont let your ranged die like that :P
