Fatback Enterprises' Matthew De Nero, Donnie Dollars, Corey Edsel, and Nick Richards see 8-man team competition, much to the chagrin of Fatback spokesman Brad Stutts who had prepared his team for an assumed handicap match.
"Everybody in wrestling loves to talk so word got back to us quickly that Mitch Connor was hot about missing the last CSA card due to that chairshot from Dangerous E. Which is crap, because its not our fault that chair jarred his spinal cord and re-aggrivated that old injury. But still, we went about our business, sold some t-shirts, had some laughs, and now we hear that Mitch is coming for payback. So, we said let him find some partners and met us at the Weaver Cup Finals, knowing full well that no one would stick their head out to help him and it'd be 3 or 4 against 1, to our advantage."
Surprising word came from Connor's camp, however, that he had indeed found more than capable partners: Destiny's Lee Valiant, Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Champion Rob "Boogie Woogie Man" McBride and Mid-Atlantic Television Champion Tank Lawson! Fatback has been a recent thorn in Lawson's side and the popular people's champion McBride was more than willing to help out a friend, his friend Lawson, and a friend of his "people's" like Connor and even up the sides for what promises to be one chaotic contest.
(taped at the Carolina Sports Arena in Burlington, NC; August 16, 2008).
