Having shown dogs for almost 20 years (including my own time at Westminster), I have another category for you - middle-aged white guys in wild-colored sport coats. I actually joined that group for a short time, until I realized how ridiculous I looked....

I do the opposite I wear colours that won't blend the dog to my suit so that the judge can see the dog.

Having shown dogs for over 15 years I can say that the best jacket I have ever worn is my pink jacket I currently own. Stands out SO nicely in the ring and works with all breeds.

I've always said that the women look dumpy and frumpy. Why not wear a nice pantsuit and cute shoes? Those ugly skirt suits with the flats are so horrible! Gahhhhh I almost can't see the dog for the ugly clothes!

Yes. You don't want the judge looking at the handler. Also, handlers will wear cloths that match to dog's color to diminish confirmation faults (like a saggy top line).
