Thanks for posting this! As a Bristol Bulldogs fan, I recall Tom only ever lined up as a reserve for us in the Eastville days of 1977, and so we never saw him score too many points in the Gulf Oil British League, though I realise he'd had a lot of success at grass track racing as well as riding for Teesside. Never realised he was a pipe smoker though! I do recall he had the most amazing sideburns!
