@udohood It's called a Fender Twin haha. Everything on 5, volume on 10 and no bass. Johnny and Steve Jones are the reason why I use Fender Twins.

Johnny could play the guitar LOUD...... turn your amp all the way up and put it through a PA jacked up as well...I dont know How they got the sound as loud as it was.......He's really an "amplifier player" like jimi was...and then he had amazingly fast hands........he played opposite Wayne Kramer.....the thing is whats going on here with this discussion is worth it....there was simply too many people against him

@jteshuwah My point is that with true passion there can´t be any bad playing, and that he was a great player compared to anyone. The magic in Berrys, Richards and Thunders playing seems to come from the ability to connect emotionally to the song. Then very nice things happens that might be hard to teach, and may be unavailable to modern players. It´s the depth that counts, since all music starts from within. Obviousely most players DONT pick up what he did, thats the funny part of it.

@jteshuwah Calm down mate, u think I didnt recognise u were a fan? But u add double meaning with the words NOT and UGHHH. I don´t see how they fit if u love Thunders and think he´s a great player? Please read this as a very academic discussion and not as an insult that is questioning your loyalty as a fan.

@baskethilt i'm so SICK of explaining this to everyone when they get ready to hang my ass from the nearest tree! what i mean when i say that Thunders couldn't "play the guitar" is that he wasn't a technically advanced player, like a Michael Angelo Batio and/or that he really didn't do anything really "innovative" or "ground breaking." he basically ripped off keith richards and chuck berry! why is it nobody ever seems to notice I REALLY LIKE THUNDERS' GUITAR PLAYING! I'M A FAN! LAY THE HELL OFF!

@jteshuwah Of course he could play the guitar. Just listen to all the Dolls stuff circulating, demos, live etc. He´s playing alot of awesome cool rock´n roll fills, solos, riffs and rythm parts. It´s the magic. How many would find those rockn roll secrets if they so played the guitar for 30 years? That´s not any mediocre beginner fumbling with three chords. Technically limited of course, but like Lou Reed can make a guitar speak like no one else. Yes, it´s all about passionate sounds.
