  • I remember that just before Sarah Vaughan came on, Patti Labelle had just blown the roof off and torn the house down with "You'll Never Walk Alone". Tough act to follow, I thought at the time. Then Sarah Vaughan came on and did this! This! Sheer magic, and thus began my lifelong love affair with Sarah Vaughan that continues unabated to this day. I still love Patti Labelle but I can't help but notice that I now have hundreds of Sarah Vaughan recordings and only two of Patti Labelle.

  • She was discovered on that very stage as a young girl--singing that same song!

  • @buffalmacco76 That is a sad fact that hopefully with some video releases and CD sets should correct for this generation

  • @egberman This was not lip sync. The audio was out of sync. The idea of Sarah Vaughan and lip sync are two worlds apart.

  • video-audio is out of sync

  • @aguirrejulia She is amazing. xx You heard of Cleo Laine? She is on the same level as Sarah, just underrated xx

  • My God, I'm 31 and I'm totally in love with this woman's voice, I discovered her two weeks ago and it blew my mind away. How in heavens could she have been sooooo awesome???? I love her

  • hello lip sync. i wonder why?

  • I love this woman...

  • Thanks for posting! I was just a little girl, maybe 3 or 4 years old when I saw this for the first time on tv. Amazing perfomance!
