  • @logibear64 It was me i was there 1904 unfortunately i was blown up in 1916 by a german mine.

Never mind i am still looking up to you. God save the king and his descendants. God save the queen.

  • beaus and belles. no a bow and arrow

  • It is true that English clog and American clog are different, but strictly speaking this video isn't actually an example of English clog - it's morris dancing. North West Morris (which is what this is) is danced in clogs, but is not the same as English clog dancing.

  • WOW! Thankyou for putting this on youtube. Well done girls, fantastic to watch.

  • Interesting to see traditional English folk dances!! Love to see more. National folk dances throughout Europe are interesting. To see all the different variations, but yet they all have similar qualities. It's a part of our western heritage that could soon be wiped out or forgotten. Happy to see where clogging originated!

    Regards from Alabama :)

  • The side are Bows 'n' Belles from Colchester way. I had to think hard, should remember as I was the one that invited them to the festival!

  • Definitely not 1904 - I just recognised a friend's mother (hi Mrs. S.! nice footwork !)

And the jerkiness of the film is achieved by simply cutting out every nth frame. The clicking noise meant to represent an old film projector is also easily copied (a bit of cardboard and a bicycle wheel ?)

But I enjoyed seeing the team and will send the link to Mrs S. and daughter.

  • I think it is 1904. I could swear that's Kitchener in the background.

  • 2004? Sure it was not 1904? Interesting technique.
