@TheArkhangelsk I don't see how feeling up this old man in baggy khakis is somehow improving security. It's violating his fourth amendment rights and costing us a lot of money, but it's certainly not providing us any security.

Think this through... do you think the 'terrorists' will put a bomb in their pocket? They already know that <12YO will not be inspected (scanner or pat down). They also know that explosives jammed into an orifice will be completely undetectable. So, in light of that, do you really think making millions of innocent Americans get their crotch grabbed or dosed with x-rays is increasing security? We are the laughing stock of the world - all while surrendering our liberties. Shame.

Question yourselves stubborn people. What IF TSA were not there? Then what.
It's a US Code that gives TSA it's scope for what they can do. If you plan on boarding a commercial aircraft then this is what you are subject too. Just like every agency is given its USC subsection.
Stop being stubborn.

Its all for our safety!

Stupid that it has come to this.

@julian19911 The same thing we do for people who get on a train, bus, or taxi... NOTHING. The idea that someone could get away with a 9/11-type attack now is lubricious. In fact, shoe-bomber, underware bomber, countless crazies trying to get into the cockpit.. Guess who stopped them? FELLOW PASSENGERS!

Touch my junk and I'll have you arrested!

@buczekjoe That is a perfect solution. I'll pay $2 less and not have to arrive an hour before boarding. A metal detector is fine with me. If it had been a bridge in 2001 we would 1/2 hour waits at all bridges and airports would be business as usual(pre-2001). Decisions are not based on facts- only fear.

@Tropwen33 There should be two types of flights to choose from: one type for those, like you, who feel being groped is "ok", and flights that have NO TSA screening: you get to choose. Your flights would be cancelled because only about 2 people out of 50 are stupid enough to believe the groping is necessary. The other flights would be backlogged for months!! But we don't get to choose, do we? Next thing you'll hear is, "Paper's, please!!" Jawold, mein herr!!
It's amazing what they find in these pat downs abroad. I was coming in through Argentina recently and was looking at their "glass boxes." 3 9mm were in sight. Mostlet knives though, but still crazy what people try to bring on a plane these days.

@CreekTV TSA claims that they've stopped 10's of thousands of illegal items from getting on an aircraft. But, when asked for a list of said items, they refuse to provide it to the media. Why? Because nearly all of it is non-safety-related things (like pot, or other illegal drugs). So again, is TSA for SAFETY, or for busting drug users/runners? It's all a facade -

@luciano7
Social Security Income? Be a little more specific. Incidentally there have been several cases already where DHS has confirmed citizens have the right to film security procedures. Look that up.
