This section of the Connecticut AT is the southernmost in New England and the closest in New England proper to the New York metro area. From the city or Westchester County, it's an easy drive to the trailhead with plenty of time to the trailhead with plenty of time for a leisurely hike. For a modest effort here, you'll see a lovely variety of landscapes. A modest climb will tax but not tire your muscles. Bring a picnic and plenty of water. There are good spots up high (with views)
