@Inguz This is her branching out. The piano has been her primary instrument for most of her musical career, and she still plays it a lot. And she collaborates with "actual" bands all the time (there's video evidence of this all over youtube). It kind of sounds like what you mean by "branching out" is "stick to what you've always done."
That said, I think if she takes up another instrument it should be something even more obscure...I vote for the hurdy gurdy!

@Inguz it's called a signature sound... lol.

And today, St George's Hill remains, a hideout of the very rich and shameless.

I love this song. All the versions of it. I saw Leon Rosselson (who wrote the song) play a tiny house concert in Victoria, Canada a few months ago and he's still writing incredible songs well into his 70's. Pretty much the definition of keeping it real.

The law will jail the petty thief who steals the goose from off the commons, but let the greater felon loose who steals the commons from under the goose.

maxim from the days of the diggers....
.
For those who don't know about the diggers and like their history in entertaining form, look for the old film "Winstanley"...

Amanda, you're such a talent, and a poet in your own right. That being said, I just think the ukulele is starting to pigeon hole you musically. By all means use it, but you really need to branch out a bit more and start including more diverse instruments into your repertoire again. I don't think this one singular sound is enough to get your message across. Maybe start collaborating with an actual band, or put your talent as a pianist to good use? Just some constructive criticism, no hate!
