@nomilktoday2 Your concern is valid, but wouldn't you feel a little uneasy if the person who helped you make some of the most important decisions of your life (to get or not get hearing aids, a cochlear implant, or other aural rehabilitation strategies/devices) only had a 4-year degree? I'm not necessarily "Gung-Ho" about 8 straight years of University (bachelor's then graduate school) either, but I recognize its necessity. Just a thought. :)

I have suffered hearing loss and know how scary it can be, and I would like to become an audiologist to help others. But the University duration and cost is a huge turn off..
