Star Fox 64 - Corneria Checkpoint - 189 Hits

It really should have been a 190 checkpoint but I think I missed a Hit+1 on the last robot just before the checkpoint due to lag and nervousness.

The second half messed up first time and I ended up with a 359 on the second try so I didn't think there was much point in uploading both parts.

how do you make that robot at around 1:20 not push over the building? no matter how many times i try, he always pushes over the building (which i assume costs some points).

Hmmm.....do a video of it and then I can see if you are doing anything wrong. You may be losing a hit or not. It's hard to tell without seeing properly what is going on. :)

i can't even do that right - i can't make a video of corneria, because i suck at it too much. sorry, if you want a video, you may have to settle with an unbelievably shitty checkpoint like 180 or something :(

It doesn't matter what the checkpoint is. I just want to see a video of what you are doing at the tower part. If you don't make a video, then it is going to be hard to help you. =/

Besides, I thought you said you could get 188 or thereabouts consistently. :P

Well...

I can try... but when I lock on and shot,

sometimes I got 5 hits and ships down before I pass to checkpoint....or they vanish...

Must be a litte faster ;)

eh, ok i'll make a short vid of the tower part, but i probably won't post it publicly on youtube (maybe i'll just share it over AIM with you or something).

and yeah i can get 185+ checkpoints pretty well, but when i'm recording i suck horribly.

Yeah I would really like to see this too. I just had a quick go at it and I couldn't even lock onto the enemies until well after the checkpoint, let alone getting the Hit+ bonus and waiting for them to explode before going into the checkpoint. =/

hey allan, can you maybe make a vid of you doing this lock on trick?

because it never worked for me...

when I try it, I lock on and then shoot, but the ships are sinking down to the ground to slowly, so when I loop into the checkpoint, they are not destroyed yet.

you know what I mean?^^
