http://reasonablefaith.org - Biola University, 2010 - Perhaps the worst objections to the Kalam Cosmological Argument you'll ever hear is on youtube (by youtube atheists) and the Internet. Here, Dr. William Lane Craig has fun dealing with these pseudo-intellects and their shallow understanding of the Kalam Cosmological Argument, logic and philosophy. In this episode, atheist claim that literally nothing can do something, like create the universe!

  • How come I can't comment on your page?

  • @sh00008 Well, if you make a good interesting comment I'll allow it. Literally 97% of atheists in youtube are just plain stupid.

  • As an extension of this really bad argument. I still see YT atheists posting the really bad argument that in quantum physics particles come in and out of existence all the time.

I am no quantum physicist but from what I understand those particles come from the quantum vacuum. And the vacuum is not nothing. The vacuum is something.

  • @axemurderah17 Apparently, for the atheist, there's much MUCH MUCH Ado About Nothing.

  • @mytruepower2 My claim was about 'free thought'. If you believe God knows your thoughts then there are certain thoughts you would be inclined to refrain from. I know it is a free choice to believe in God and refrain from thought but if you truly believe that the type of God that knows and cares what you are thinking exists then surely your choice of thought has limits.

However when talking about free action I think we can agree that both thiest and athiest have massive limits.

  • @CallidusAnguis By nothing, we're referring to the absence of anything and as such nothingness literally has no properties because there isn't anything there to have the properties. We are NOT referring to the quantum vacuum which is something. Want to believe in Jesus, look at drcraigvideos for the evidence for the resurrection of Jesus and open the Bible and so many things will become axiomatic to you.

  • @karozans Exactly, except of course the universe came from that same type of something (called true/false vacuum), and not from non-existence as craig claims

  • @CallidusAnguis

If you're claiming that the ability to exercise freedom is defined by the consciousness of a person, then you can't claim that theists lack this freedom, since most theists are provably conscious for a large percentage of every day.

Also, there are many freedoms that the atheist lacks, such as the freedom to understand his purpose, or to prove how the universe started, or to believe in God and understand his will for them. In these matters, the atheist is trapped, not free.

  • @Bigjon145 It depends on how you are defining nothing. By nothing are you meaning non-existence or empty space.

I will hazard a guess at your meaning to be non-existence which is why you can not understand how people could possibly believe that something can come from nothing. It is surely true that existence can not come from non-existence.

And as for 'turning towards the saviour' I would turn towards Jesus to save my soul from eternal pain but he hasn't given me any reason to believe in him.

  • @CallidusAnguis "Nothing can do something" That's not free thought, that's stupid and you know it, you need to stop suppressing the truth in unrighteousness, repent and turn towards the savior man because you're headed towards hell if you don't.

  • @drcraigvideos As long as an athiest has consciousness he/she is able to think without restriction. That to me is free thinking.

  • @CallidusAnguis Atheists don't have "free minds" or "free thinking". Your thoughts are nothing more than the products of matter and motion dictated by the laws of physics. That's not freedom.

  • whoever gave the thumbs down to this video is just pathetic "Nothing can do something" Really? Really? This is just suppressing the truth in unrighteousness on parade.

  • @h0lystrike it's not important but it is true that atheists can think freely where as theists can not. Thats assuming of course that the theist believes that god knows what you are thinking.
