This is an ideal solution for connecting PCs, game consoles, digital media adapters such as NETGEAR's EVA8000, or a Skype cordless phone such as NETGEAR's SPH200D to your home network. Here's how it works: plug one HDX101 into your router and a nearby electrical socket, then plug a second HDX101 into any electrical socket that is conveniently located near the device you want to network. Each HDX101 has a built-in Quality of Service (QoS) that enables smooth streaming, awesome gaming performance, and uninterrupted VoIP telephone calls. The bottom line is, you get a powerful, seamless home network that runs on your existing wiring.

  • @Shanzara: Your speed might suffer if you run appliances at the same time. Yes, you might see a drop in your internet speed if you run your vacuum cleaner, blender or even your washer at the same time as using these adapters.

  • @Shanzara The biggest problem with these that they don't tell you in this video is that your electrical wiring needs to be compatible. Also plugging in one adapter into one circuit and another adapter in another circuit sometimes doesn't work. I have this same issue in my home that the wiring in the front is not the same as the wiring in the back rooms. Even thought they share the same main breaker and are in the same electrical box. Also, another thing not mentioned.... (continued)

  • My husband bought one of these today, and he set it up but we are not getting any internet activity on our computers. We have a verizon wireless modem/router in one, our wireless connection still works, but the ethernet connections just aren't there. Any suggestions would be helpful.

  • I have 2 mBit and still I can absolutely broadcast HD content.

  • @AmericanSoapBox: All this solution does, is extend the range of your current wife router. It's not actually traveling through electric currents through your home. All its doing, is extending the range of your wife. The video is misleading :)

  • All this solution is, are wireless access points, which extend the range of wifi. The data is not actually traveling through the electric currents like this video may suggest. It's still based upon wife.

  • I have a question, I have a D-Link DWA 625 N Router downstairs and 2 Netgear Powerline 4 Port Ethernet routers 1 upstairs and 1 downstairs.

A few days ago I went to our local Tiger Direct store to pickup a new wireless router a Netgear N600 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router (WNDR3700).

I thought cents the N600 (WNDR3700) was a Netgear product I could hook it up to the 4 port Netgear Powerline. And get internet access from the DWA 625 D-Link Router.

That was not the case, it did not work.

  • does this work for any wireless router or just netgear routers?

  • If ethernet is not an option for me, which one is the next best for xbox live gaming?
