Barry Ferguson inspired Rangers to a resounding 5-1 victory against Celtic with a standout performance that included scoring the opening goal. Henrik Larsson equalised at the start of the second half but when Alan Thompson was sent off minutes after debutant Tore Andre Flo had put Rangers 2-1 ahead they were never in the game. Ronald de Boer and Lorenzo Amoruso both headed in from Jorg Albertz corners while Michael Mols completed the rout with a smart finish after a sweeping move.

  • @sturner80 How dumb are you ??? Commentator is a closet hun that did make me laugh, its Davie Provan former Celtic player you cretin

  • I would doubt that a current Celtic or Rangers player would get into either of the teams back then. If you were to be honest, scottish football has been on the decline for a long time and will only get worse. When the champions of your league are getting knocked out by Malmo in the champions league quals you have to wonder how bad scottish football really is. when I watch Rangers and Celtic play this season, I sometimes think that I am watching football no better than the second tier in England

  • @Jarredbrain Rangers' and Celtic's success has always been paid for by the glory-hunting of bigots from up and down Scotland... always to the detriment of every other club. Neither Rangers nor Celtic see themselves as Scottish; they've stated on many occasions that they don't want to play in Scotland. Maybe it's time for the rest of Scotland to rise up and throw them out.

  • Gazza has been spotted in the Ibrox car park with beer and chicken for Ally McCoist in what looks more and more like a protracted attempted suicide from the bloated former/future game show panelist. The few reporters that are still ambling around Ibrox, the 113 year old catacomb, are concerned that Gazza has greatly underestimated the amount of chicken required to bring this situation under control.

  • This success was bought by tax payer's money.
