There are lots of tributes to Christopher McCandless, but there's only one ballad!

  • We read Into the Wild during school. Everyone who read the book said they hated hearing what Chris did and thought he was an idiot for doing it. They said he was selfish for throwing away everyone who loved him, like he didn't care. But they don't understand. Sometimes life gets to you, sometimes you need to stand up for who you are and the wrongs of society. People don't understand because they never tried. Some may say Chris died in Alaska, but he lives on in us that believe in his message.

  • he lived his dream, most of us only talk of our dreams that we know, deep down, that we'll never accomplish them. but not chris he reached out and grabbed his dream, im 16 and i hope i can accomplish my dream of traveling the world someday, he mightve died early but he lived, he did what he wanted and if he just went back to society he would just be bored, hes an inspiration for all
