Maybe you should reprogram the machine to get the desired amount of espresso or try resetting the Machine to factory default.

@HappySpaceInvdr You have to push harder than you think. Also make sure you buy a decent tamper and dont use that cheap plastic tamper included with your unit.

Hmmm... I still don't get the whole tampering bit... I'm hardly pressing at all, yet the one-cup setting produces only about a millimetre of coffee before giving up and beeping continuously.
