FUCK YOU OMGFAGS!

The Honeyguide bird behavior is said to be documented even today in parts of Ethiopia and Somalia, where the birds will actively seek humans to guide them to beehives. Assuming the truth of these word-of-mouth statements, it's not impossible that the Honeyguide bird will seek out animals known to eat honey.

This old video is such a load of crap. So sterilized, scripted and edited to be cute and "family safe". It's like watching a Disney movie. I bet it IS a Disney movie.

The 'bird" is so obviously fake, especially at 2:11

the honey badger doesn't give a sh*t that his parents left him!

@stablematter And the bird, for most of it, is a model on a string :)

this is a portion of the movie 'The Gods Must Be Crazy' so very little can be regarded as fact considering it was done on a movie set

Documentaries on animals back in those days were notorious for staging encounters. They probably took a zoo-reared honey badger and placed him in confrontations with other zoo-reared animals at an "african" location. The honeyguide footage may have been procured in Africa, but the interaction between the badger and the bird was surely concocted.
