Steve explains the whole experience in "Steve Mizeraks Pocket Billiards Tips and Trick Shots" (1982). He had to tryout against Allen Hopkins, Pete Margo, and Ray Martin. Miller liked his ability to talk and shoot the best. He says it took about 70 takes to get it right, but it was much more then pocketing the three trick shots in a row. He often flubbed his lines. He forgot to look at the camera at the end, etc. He says it took him from a 50-title winning nobody to a celebrity overnight.
