Could either trim it or remove some sleeving from the 24-pin cable and flatten them out and tape it down if you are worried about it.

Totally know what you mean about the case. My main 24-pin power cable from my HX520 is on the fat side and it's a little troublesome to close my P182. Still a great case though and once you close it, you probably won't have to deal with it again.
