Anti-Endosulfan Day - Kerala

On 25th April 2011, Mr. Achuthanandan, the Chief Minister of Kerala representing above 30 million people fasted at martyrs square in Thiruvananthapuram to mark his protest against Govt. of India's decision to oppose liting Endosulfan to Annex A of Stockholm Convention.

The State Government called for a State wide protest for banning Endosulfan India, organised similar protests across the state on the same day under the leadership of Ministers.

People from all walks of life participated and made it as historical movement for environmental justice and health.
