thats a seriously sweeping statement, im irish and there have been some excellent irish films. there have also been some amazing french films. despite some bad english ones, theyve had some classics too. on the other hand hollywood is often overrated and many (not all!) of their films are very similar - written by marketing people

sorry to say this no racism and shit, but i think europians ......... ok non americans suck at making movies. Please do not take this the wrong way. Americans suck at making books, english are great at that. But i think Hollywood is so good, that it makes europians look stupid when they try to make a movie.
