@maw88ify I use ubuntu for a relatively long time and that never happened for me o_õ
Only thing I ever needed using ubuntu was having a little patience to make everything work out the way it used to when using windows.

@downwithdinosaurs Yes I'm using a (cheap) tablet on a (FREE) OS... Thank you for clearing that up for me ... You are correct cheap , and free equal crap . So I'm going to go buy Window 7 , and a Cintiq 21UX Pen Display . The other people have it working correctly DON'T HAVE THE SAME COMPUTER HARDWARE. I hope that clears things up for you .

@downwithdinosaurs Do you know what the Genius tablets manufacturers said when I emailed them in 2009 ? Nothing they never e-mail back. Any company I e-mail about Linux NEVER e-mail me back, and NEVER make their product work with Linux .

@maw88ify You should try communicating with some other people if the documentation isn't working for you.. and just because you don't believe in communicating with manufacturers, doesn't mean that it does not work. How are they going to know you are having problems or that you even USE the operating system, if you don't tell them about it? This is the kind of mentality that I don't understand.. You want it to work, knowing the philosophy and nature of the OS, but don't want to participate?

@maw88ify ..but you continue to ignore the fact that every version of Windows and OSX also has just as many crazy bugs. It depends way too much upon exacting hardware specifications and peripheral choices for you to generalize so much. It's really unfair to say: "Every version of every operating system has bugs, but because Ubuntu is frustrating me, it is automatically the worst."
You are trash-talking the entire distribution because of a single (cheap) tablet that other people have working.

@downwithdinosaurs NO I didn't refuse to answer you as I said NONE of the version are stable. Every release of Ubuntu is buggy. Ubuntu 9.04 sound PulseAudio bug 9.10 Graphics driver bug, 10.04 sound and video bugs, 10.10 Pen pressure doesn't work correctly in some programs 11.04 Blender 3D and Firefox crash , Graphics driver bug, icons missing , and more ...

@maw88ify You also refuse to answer the question of why you feel the need to upgrade so regularly? Why can't you just get your system stable and leave it be? You don't need to upgrade every 6 months, just because they release something. Are you trying to tell me that no one has ever had a problem upgrading to a new version of Windows or OSX?.. ..or that you are given a new version every 6 months? Stop unnecessarily upgrading. Plenty of people have that tablet working fine - it must be you.

@maw88ify I never said any of those things. ..but it's clear you can not speak rationally because you have to steam roll your claims as facts. "Here is the truth about Ubuntu every release has bugs" .. yet the closest you will come to acknowledge that the same is flatly true for every other available OS, is "Every OS has bugs, but Linux .. just have more bugs" That is not a fact.. it is your personal conjecture.
You have a right to complain but you lose credibility by generalizing so much.

@downwithdinosaurs Distribution hopping doesn't solve anything like 700 versions of Linux desktops doesn't solve . You "complained to the tablet manufacturer to support your OS"will only make it work on my distribution , but what about all the other distribution . The problem is companies don't want to make packages for all the Linux distro's that all have different bugs, because it is a waist of time/money. Linux programmers need to focus on only a few Linux distributions to make great.

@downwithdinosaurs Sure every OS has bugs, but Linux distribution just have more bugs . Let us talk about double-standards . Every Linux user I've ever spoke with always say "switch to Linux it's way better than Windows" , but if I even hint that there is a bug in Linux people like you will say "it's the manufacturer fault for not supporting your Linux distribution", but if Windows did the same exact thing you would say "it's because Windows is crap switch to Linux it's way better"
