"In The Hills Of Old Kentucky (My Mountain Rose)" was written in 1914 by J.R. Shannon (lyrics) and Chas. L. Johnson (music). I learned this song from a Vernon Dalhart recording circa 1928. I once spent a month in rural Kentucky and so these words bring up some vivid images. They just don't right 'em like this no more.

I'm a big fan of Fret Killer.....I haven't been on in a while but never thought he would be pulled? One of the main reasons youtube is (was) cool was because of him....sad to hear this news.....

*I got on today to study one of his covers.
