At least FDR was facing pressure to do this. It was terrible and, yes, evil, but those were more racist times. Bush lived in a time that was far less racist. He pushed the agenda toward making America more uncivil and his people led the way in creating fear. And FDR did SOME good things, unlike Bush.
Jon Stewart lost a lot of my respect when he did that softball interview of Condie Rice, who's unapologetic about her role in pushing for war. It's disgusting. Jon Stewart is a traitor.
