I work short final to a major corporate/airline airport. You can hear the Paiggio coming long before it gets overhead. Louder than any 7x7 or Airbus. Only the B-24 makes as much noise.

NIce Plane, they are quiter then traditional turbo props because the synchronise the the phase of the blades are automatically adjusted to reduce beat frequencys.

Cool video. I have read that the Piaggio is extremely loud for a turboprop, since they are pushers. I haven't seen any flying around here in Seattle, just a couple of them parked at KBFI. However, the sound in your video seemed like a normal twin turboprop, nothing unusual.

I was told the same thing about the sound level and yes, I was disappointed that it was so quiet on take off! :-)
