  • Raven came in at a bad time. He wasn't back for long before the Invasion started. Then he wanted to be a commentator. Then decided he wanted to wrestle again. Then he got creative control over Sunday Night Heat and did nothing with it.

Bad timing and his own indecisiveness had more to do with Raven's run failing than anything else.

To blame everything solely on WWE is a mistake. I'm not a fan of WWE most of the time, but this one is more on Raven IMO

  • Vince McMahon never pushed guys that weren't WWF made to the top.

  • E C Dub!! E C Dub!!

  • @internetjunk1 Raven was never IC champ,He was a United States champ in WCW though for like a day.

  • not a wwe mark, but tazz had a fucked up neck by the time he signed with wwe, he just hide it. Less than a year later it came out about his neck, wwe could have just let him go, instead they moved him to play by play and thus, tazz made the most money in his entire career, As for raven he was a descent mid carder, ic champ, and multiple hardcore champ,a wm match, and like funkiersnog said his indecisiveness had a lot to do with how far he got with wwe

  • i am not sure how wwe managed fail with raven tazz, ddp and others but they did

  • Raven's ddt is better than the stinger death drop, basically the same move but raven always seemed to put more power behind it.

  • So where in the rules does it say you can win a strap match w/ a submission. That is a busch league WCW mistake!

  • @NeptuneNetwork kurt angle?

  • this was the best that taz got in wwf thats sad

  • While I'll agree they dropped the ball with Raven (allegedly because Raven gave Shane McMahon cocaine back when he was Johnny Polo, and Vince hated him as a result), they didn't drop the ball with Taz. Within the year they signed Taz, his neck was shot from his work in ECW, and they could do very little with him than move him to commentary and have him as a lower midcarder. You can hardly put a guy in the main event when his neck could go out any minute.

  • Good to have you back Johnny Polo
