Great! I wondered if the whole track was ever played live. This is probably the strangest song ever with musical merit. I think it works overall the best on Topographic Oceans. Back in the day people thought I was nuts listening to this. Elton John was more popular I guess then.

Saw this show in quadrifonic sound (4 speakers) in Denver.Speakers at the back of the aud. were almost as big as the ones on stage. Unbelievable sound. Record producer Eddy Offord was at the mixing board for this tour. The stage set designed by Roger Dean made for a mind blowing experance. This is an album that has to be listened to many times to truly understand.

Yes, in 1974 they toured America playing the whole four songs from topographic oceans, the whole album of close to the edge, and finished with sweet dreans and then Starship trooper. It was a wonderful show to watch, and listen to, I know Yes did change things up a few dates because of internal issues. But to hear it again live is so fun. Thanks for posting this, and it brought back such great memories!

@missangell000 It's called Adrenaline, you should try it sometime.

@jkovert Seems to me, bewildering the audience would be a good thing. If you write this kinda music, especially given the times, chances are you are going to blow some folks minds. How is this any different from the shows and music he wrote and performed in his solo acts with Journey to the Center of the Earth, and the "On Ice" shows he did? He has been quoted as saying, that when he rejoined for GFTO, this is where Yes shoulda went after CttE. I guess he preferred the more commercial stuff

@tranceofdances He did't like TFTO, especially during the tour, because the audiences were bewildered by it.

Welcome to the Church of YES.

@blormp1 I've seen this concert in Detroit but....( seeing as you posted your comment 10 months ago).

Wakeman is such an idiot. This is some of the most inventive and awesome work that Yes ever did. Tales, and Relayer are 2 of Yes' best albums for shear creativity. I cannot understand why he didn't like them.

this song, sound chaser and machine massiah - favourite yes tracks....and its a pity patrick moraz didn't do another album with them - he had a totally different keyboard sound.
The only songs off 'Topographic Oceans' I've ever heard live versions of prior to this were 'The Revealing Science of God' and 'Ritual'. Nice to hear! Now the only one I have to find a live version of is 'The Remembering'. You wouldn't happen to have that, would you? :)
