1:37 yeah, in romhacks, suicide is the #1 cause of yoshi deaths. So many times Yoshi has valiantly jumped in a pit just to get Mario across it.

I'm not sure if you know now, since this video is a bit old, but you could have taken Yoshi through the door in the castle if you hadn't cut the midway point tape, and remained small and on Yoshi, then just entered the door like you normally would.
