I laugh everytime I hear somebody describe Mantovani's masterpieces as "elevator music".....what a joke....this guy was a genius and so was his arranger.

Another one of my favourites, thank you. I used to have a vinyl collection of Mantovani, sadly they have disappeared forever.

@davandra019 It's strange to hear someone speak of being a projectionist in the "old days." During WWII, when my brothers were drafted in the Army, I replaced them as the head operator at the then-new Redskin Theatre, in Oklahoma City. I was about 15 at the time. I am 82 now, and I can still thread up the Simplex 7 machines (in my head).
