  • This sucks the big one! The guitar solo needs to be more than just noise.

  • it doesn't need to be anything...

Seeing as alot of Zola Jesus's material is 'blown out' analog and very lowfi, this falls in line, pretty much how this sort of band come off live. It's live material man, from a very young 'band' that focuses on alot of studio production to capture the low fi experience. Ignorance is bliss..

  • its good its different, dont forget bauhaus did a version as well.

  • I recognized the song the1st couple riffs.... I like this. Its not Eno's scorching venomous version but who could pull that off...? Still, an evil take.

  • haha at the musicologists!! you think things have to be done correctly. my god

  • it's hard to recognize the song...

  • @Mutesolo: yup, on second listen you are correct, guitarist is way off.

  • @rattlingwall Pretty sure that's not the synth, that's effected guitar into loopbox. And I'm pretty sure it's the guitarist throwing off the whole thing by being way sloppy with timing and everyone else trying to deal with it.

All the more reason they should fire him and hire me.

  • love this band but this is rough, hahaha nice though, i guess, naw its allright, people should do whatever the fuck they want, who cares if it sucks hahhaha

  • A perfect example of the need for the drummer to not suck. Halfway through starts dragging, synth is off key..ugh. Great new ep tho!

  • They are definetly stepping out on the limb but I give them credit for thier courage to create something new and different. If they keep at it they will get better maybe even great. And those that sit in front of the tv playing thier little plastic guitar hero instruments will forever suck! They had a great article in the Milwaukee Journal about her and she is a real achiever in school and out. You go girl and let these some of these comments roll off your back. They really don't matter!
