Why not use a new crop? Hemp can make ethanol too, we dont have anyone growing hemp. Why not start a new industry with hemp, it could be a multi billion dollar industry in one growing season, its easy to grow and has many other uses too.

No food crop was used to make ethanol Dumbass! The ethanol corn crop is non edible, corn farmers made the same amount of corn production for food and grew more non edible corn for ethanol. I call BULLSHIT!!!

Ethanol harms engines
o Ethanol is a solvent and absorbs water, which can cause water contamination and phase separation of gasoline.
o Ethanol causes vapor lock or fuel starvation, more commonly in carbureted engines, hot weather and/or high altitudes (ethanol increases gasoline's vapor pressure)
o Ethanol is especially damaging to small engines and marine engines.
o Ethanol can cause a drop in octane
o Ethanol decreases the life cycle of parts and engine
