I was at a 10% rating since 1971. I was told to check out the DAV. That was in 1995. I'm now at 60% and they are helping me battle VA for a 100%. It's the VA that downgrades Vets and it's an uphill battle to get them to change their minds. Don't accept the VA's rejections. File your appeal and keep doing so, until the VA gets the msg. The VA wants you to give up. Don't give up, stay with the DAV and give the VA a headache. Get Some! Hooah!

This is crap, some of the DAV's top auxiliary members went to Capitol Hill to see if they could get some funding for disabled vets, but they were given a big Fuck YOU. That's the big thanks they get for trying to improve the daily lives of veterans who fought for the vary freedom these politicians invoke so often. The DAV is doing a good thing by trying to represent these people who need help.

I'm life member with DAV. I didn't get any help from them but got a pin plus bunch of coupons. To make this story short. I was injured on OIF and OEF got 40% disability than went down to 10% because the VA said that I'm Perfect Health now but it's worse than ever. I was told to get with DAV and they will help. I paid over $400.00 and got monthly magazines plus coupons.
