  • @ELVIS4221 This was called "nigger yelling" and wasn't considered music until Elvis and the Beatles broke down the race barriers. There was only one groundbreaking record before that (actually it was a 3 record set) put out by Folkways in 1950 called "The Anthology of American Folk Music". Read "Invisible Republic". This record was considered "communistic" but had a number of notables on it. Dylan and all the early "folkies" studied it and its performers like the Rosetta Stone.
