A similar spot exists in Kalimdor; it's a Horde zeppelin.

This bug was fixed within days of its discovery.

Intercontinental transports are a weird beast; they are literally their own zone that moves around. When someone got DGed across their boundary, the server literally lost them.

That ship is (at least was, pre-Cata) a real place in Azeroth, at world (absolute) location 0,0,0,0. (x, y, z, continent). My guess is that it was put there so when players ended up there, they could hearth out and not involve a GM.

This is what happens when a couple numbers in the coding get messed up. It looks like maybe that "ghost ship" might have the same or similar numbers used in coding as the one in BB. Notice how he landed exactly where he should have on the one in BB? What most people don't realize is that boats/zeppelins in the game are actually almost (almost meaning not really at all but faintly similar) like instances of their own. I guess since he was DG'd right to a spot instead of walking on, it messed up.

@Peakay Oh man, I know! Even a year later after your post and it's gotten even worse. I've never seen such bratty gamers in my life. This game is so good and Blizzard tries their best to please their customers yet there's still those people who will find even the smallest things to bitch about. *rolls eyes* I just choose to ignore it and hang around with people who appreciate it.
